After last week’s leak comes the official confirmation from Sony: here are the three titles included on PlayStation Plus from next month.
Three new “free” games are coming up Playstation plus in January 2022 and, after the leak from a now very reliable source last week, the official status arrived. The games provided by Sony are not completely free, for those who are not familiar with the service, but are precisely part of a broader subscription with which it is possible to obtain, in addition to titles for PS4 and PS5, also cloud storage space and the possibility to play online with friends. Here, then, is the news for next month.
January’s PS4 and PS5 games on PlayStation Plus –
Also for next month, the first of 2022, the “three” line-up typical of PlayStation Plus is confirmed, with which the Japanese house offers two games published natively for PS4 (also compatible with PS5) and one that supports the console next-gen with all the improvements of the case (or it is available to you exclusively, this is already rarer).
So here are the three PlayStation Plus games arriving in January 2022:
- Deep Rock Galactic (PS4 e PS5)
- Persona 5 Strikers (PS4)
- Dirt 5 (PS4 e PS5)
Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative sci-fi FPS where you play as space dwarves and play in 100% destructible environments, procedurally generated caves and against endless hordes of alien monsters. Persona 5 Strikers is the sequel to Persona 5 made by Omega Force, the studio behind Dynasty Warriors, moving away from the turn-based combat dimension of the original game and embracing the musou nature (fast-paced Japanese action) that Koei’s label is known for. Tecmo. Finally, Dirt 5 is the latest installment in Codemasters’ long-running motorsport series, featuring new and more varied tracks, many different disciplines to compete in and, on PS5, a 120fps graphics mode. With the availability of the game on both PS4 and PS5, if nothing else, Sony is putting behind the controversy related to missing upgrades for several of the cross-gen productions ported to PlayStation Plus.
Persona 5 Strikers, Deep Rock Galactic, and Dirt 5 are available with PlayStation Plus starting January 4.

Since they will be available –
The three new games will be available from Tuesday 4th January, when the trio will take the place of the one already available from the beginning of December (ie: Godfall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super-Villains and Mortal Shell). Three PlayStation VR titles will also be redeemable until January 3, intended to celebrate the virtual reality platform’s five years: The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Standard Edition and Until You Fall. The January new entries can be redeemed until Tuesday 4 January, the day on which they will be replaced by other new entries in the usual monthly PlayStation Plus rotation.
