Mallorca will once again host a tournament on the Professional Tennis Association (ATP) circuit. The German tournament management company E | Motion has taken ownership of the Tennis Country Club Santa Ponça to be able to carry out the ATP 250 Mallorca Championships category tournament. As explained by the managing director of the tournament, Félix Torralba, the company has invested more than three million euros in the purchase of the site and the subsequent retrofitting to be able to host a professional circuit tournament.

As for the sponsors of the 2021 edition, the tournament has not yet signed with any company such as title sponsor, unlike the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell or the Mutua Madrid Open, because, according to the managing director, “we still have to settle down for a large company to bet heavily on us,” he concludes.

Important entities at the local level such as Bancamarch, Engel & Volkers or Quirón Salud were announced yesterday during the presentation of the event.
